bangkok day 3

I'm starting to really like this place! (ok I change my mind now fuck after finding out we almost got scammed yesterday we were curious and read about all these other scams in the area and now I'm scared.. this place has no law it's all corrupt you can't even trust the police! I don't want to leave my hotel room tomorrow anymore) most people are nice especially at our hotel and everything is so cheap and all the food we've eaten so far has been pretty good. I won't be here for much longer though because tomorrow I'm going to phuket yay! since I ate so much here I don't think I have a body suitable for the beach anymore sigjhighdd all that gym effort gone to waste :(

today patrick and I headed to a shopping centre called siam paragon and I followed him around while he bought clothes... I didn't realise until today how many designer stores were in that area there are so many shopping centres (actually idk maybe it was just 2) filled with expensive things. they even have car dealerships in their shopping centres??

after shopping we went to the baiyoke sky hotel because it's the tallest building in thailand and has views of the entire city. I was so scared going up the elevator because it was glass and we could see the outside as we went up.. once we were at the top I could barely move omg I don't know why though  because when I go to sydney tower I'm ok with it LOL. we took a lot of pictures inside this is my favourite one heheh

noone was there to take a photo for us so I had to take it in the mirror HAHA you can see my phone

we were too early to watch the sun setting so we went back downstairs for a bit to try the exotic fruit buffet in the hotel. the watermelon looking thing in the back is a fruit jelly and the yellow fruit on the right is a watermelon.....

there were markets near the hotel so I went and bought some things for my family then after that we just went back towards the train station to go back to the hotel. there was a lot of street food near where we were staying at so we bought some coconut cake things and this chicken

it tastes just like kfc except so much cheaper and tastier mmm

the packet was pretty much empty and he still wanted more HAHA

ok update on yesterday omg just found out that the taxi driver tried to scam us into going to that seafood restaurant and that apparently it happens often to tourists....... it said on tripadvisor that the taxi drivers trick you and say chinatown is closed (I was like wtf when he said that because the hotel people said chinatown closes late) so that you'll agree to go to this place and I think they get a commission if we buy something. we only found this out because patrick typed 'bad seafood bangkok' into google and it was the first result HAHA. the restaurant is called somboondee, all the reviews say it's a terrible place fuck that taxi driver thank god we didn't eat there!!!!

ugh anyway on a brighter note when we got back to our hotel everything was clean and they left this cute little sign on our bed hehe

bangkok day 2

woke up at 6:30am for this breakfast, so worth it

at the airport we booked some tour guide thing that took us to a temple LOL at first it was alright but then I got sooooo bored because all we did was look at buildings for an hour

after the temple we got on this 'james bond boat' and it took us through the canals of old bangkok. it looks nice in the photo but the canals are actually filled with really poor people's homes like some homes were even falling apart..

bought these off a lady in a boat selling all this random shit omg we look so touristy

after the boat ride we went back to the city and went shopping again, I bought a top and a skirt and got my nails redone because one of them broke on the plane LOL. we stayed out until about 7 then went back to the hotel to check out their roof top bar/restaurants

the view was so good but everything at the bar was too expensive so we left HAHA

then the weirdest thing happened ok we wanted to eat so we asked a taxi driver to take us to chinatown because apparently it's near our hotel but then OmG HE TOOK US TO THE WRONG PLACE WE ENDED UP IN SOME SEAFOOD RESTAURANT HE SAID CHINATOWN WAS BAD LIKE CAN you not you are a taxi driver you're not supposed to comment on where we're going ughhhh

after that incident I was so pissed off plus we were stranded in a place that was so far away from the hotel.. we ended up walking for about an hour or something just so that we could go back to the main part of the city to take the train home. I didn't want to catch another taxi because I was scared he'd take us somewhere else LOL

we hadn't eaten in like 10 hours and I was so fucking hungry so we stopped by this really cute maccas for dinner

the outside was hellokitty themed LOL

all this for $11aud! anyways it's 1am now I'm exhausted and my feet hurt so much from all that walking today I need to sleep eghiehrkjfl 

bangkok day 1

in the morning before going to the airport

the plane was so fucking huge I was wondering how something so big could fly for 9 hours straight

after 6 hours in the air I redid my makeup and took photos because I was so bored

9 long hours of sitting/sleeping/eating and we finally arrived at Bangkok airport. since we had so much luggage we caught a taxi to the hotel and omg holy shit the road rules here are nowhere near as strict as in Australia people don't indicate and some people even go in the lane that's supposed to be for emergencies?? it's supposed to take an hour to get to the hotel but it took us half the time because our driver kept driving at 50kms over the limit.. the hotel we're staying at is called lebua and so far it's pretty good! everyone is really friendly especially this guy 

such a bad photo of me but the door man was a cool guy!! anyways we stayed at the hotel for a bit and unpacked then went to find something to eat for dinner. we had no idea where to eat so we ended up in this food court/market thing where everything is insanely cheap like each meal cost around $2 (wtf??) 

I think they used google translate for this because the names of everything in english make no sense it's so funny

bought these from the little stores near the hotel, I only took like $20 worth of thai money with me and I bought so much! now I'm back at the hotel omg it's only 10pm and patrick's fast asleep LOL.. I still don't feel like I'm overseas it just feels like I went to a really asian part of sydney today

• went to the gym today!!!!
• 6th time this week and I have barely lost any weight because for some reason every time I try to lose weight I'm surrounded in food and birthday cake
• I have a very small thigh gap now though 
• also exchanged some money for overseas today omg I need help how much do I need for each country and is it better to exchange it here or overseas? 
• plessseesss help I'm worried I don't have enough LOL

monday - stayed at home and rested, can't remember doing anything else

tuesday - went to burwood to get my nails done, then met up with a friend to give him his glasses back 

wednesday - celebrated maddie's 18th birthday! the place we were going to go to closed down like 6 years ago so we went to the aquarium instead and omg it was so boring as usual HAHA. after that we went to holy basil for lunch then walked to karaoke world and stayed there for 4 hours singing. I met heaps of cool people today it was a lot of fun :-)

seeing this thing makes me laugh every time I don't even know what it is but it looks like a person's face 

birthday drinks yay

thursday - was so tired from the day before so I woke up late then went to have lunch in the city. after that I went home then to patrick's house to book more hotels for our holiday!

friday - went to eat at this japanese restaurant which is apparently really good but we were disappointed because it was overpriced and not that nice. then we went to manly and ate a snack at crinitis hehe bruschetta is delicious I love tomatoes

saturday - today it was my brother's 16th birthday party so I had to buy him drinks, and since the liquor store was really close to a gym we signed up for this free pass thing for 6 days. it's pretty good since I'm going overseas there's no point getting a membership

saw these penis warmer things at liverpool markets while I was waiting for my free pass omg would anyone actually wear this?

sunday - it's my brother's real birthday today but our family isn't doing anything because he's too tired from his party yesterday. I went to the gym today as well omg two days in a row this is a record for me

• we aimed to get there at around 4 but we were late and missed zedd's set :(
• spent ages trying to find people, the place was so big and there were a lot more people there than I expected
• by the time I started to get into it there was a break or something so there was no music..
• went on a ride with patrick and he freaked the fuck out my bad LOL I didn't know he didn't like rides bcs when we went to gold coast he was all good on the rides
• went back to the main stage and empire of the sun was playing
• calvin harris was next up and his set felt so short?? I didn't realise I was dancing for a whole hour I had so much energy it was fun
• after calvin harris was supposed to be david guetta but omg they fucked up idk what happened I think maybe david guetta was late or something
• they tried to tell us to 'put our fucking hands up' while we waited and people got pissed off HAHA
• I started feeling really ¿¿¿¿ so patrick and I caught a train back to the city and we just sat in the car for a long time before driving home
• one of the last songs I remember was this one it's pretty good
• after reading the tracklist I wish I stayed until the end oh well there's always next year!

went to eat at ippudo in the city bcs we knew we wouldn't eat anything for the rest of the day

went to westfields to buy a top suitable for a festival because I barely have any summer clothes

have never been in a place with so many people! it took so long to find my friends and after a while we lost them forever....

my hair was being retarded omg

borrowed a friend's sunglasses and forgot to give them back sorry heheh

overseas trip!

I didn't want to blog about this because every other overseas I've planned has never happened, but the tickets are paid for now so I guess this means it's actually happening! ok so I'm going to be going on a one month holiday leaving on the 16th of December tooooo:

• Thailand
• Hong Kong + Macau
• South Korea
• Japan
• Shanghai
• yaaaaaaay

I'm really excited because I've never been to any of these places before and because I'm leaving so soon! also I'm hoping nothing goes wrong before we go/while we are there because if something does happen it's gonna be a very miserable month.. the only thing I'm concerned about right now is my atar which comes while I'm overseas so what if I get really upset??

oh well heheheh can't wait until december 16
